You would know best (since you have a squirrel living on your chin...maybe you could ask), but wouldn't that nest get covered up quickly by the snow? Shouldn't it be in a tree somewhere?
Penni, that post was just for you. The stash was fairly close to the base of a tree, and the snow is not very deep there. Squirrels are supposed to have a great memory to help them find their caches throughout the winter. This one has been gathering pine cones since I've been here, but the sunflower seeds must've seemed a good change of pace.
Thanks for thinking of me! His "room" looks like my kids...everything is piled close to the door. When you tell them to put stuff away, they walk up to the door and just throw the stuff in there.
