Pileated Woodpecker
I've only seen a few of these over the last two years, and have always been unable to get a picture. Still no luck getting a good photo, but perhaps a less-than-ideal picture is worth maybe five hundred words.

I've seen these guys at least three times this summer (maybe not the exact same ones)..no luck with photos either. By the time my slow brain realizes what I'm hearing, my eyes find the target and I get my camera...too late!
