Across the Bob—Day 6

Day 6 was the best day of the trip because that was the day I saw the wolverine.  These animals are very rare in the U.S. Rockies and are not often seen. I was sitting about 10 feet off the trail, taking a Powerbar break, and it came loping down the trail and stopped right in front of me. We both froze and stared at each other for about 5 seconds, then it ran back in the direction it had come from, stopping for a moment to look back, perhaps to see if I was going to follow.
