The Usual Suspects

Now that winter has set in, many of the birds have migrated south, or  moved to the more temperate climate of the lower valley.  These are the only birds I see on a regular basis.

Steller's Jay

Clark's Nutcracker

Gray Jay

Mountain Chickadee

Red-Breasted Nuthatch

Common Raven

Down the East Fork, near Highway 93, I regularly see magpies, but they won't sit still for a picture.  I've also recently seen a junco down there in the open area, not too far from where the rough-legged hawk hovers over the fields.  And two days ago, a large skein of Canada Geese flew over the cabin, headed west.
